Pentagon releases details of the soldier who was killed in North of Afghanistan

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) released the details of the U.S. soldier who lost his life in militants attack in North of Afghanistan.

Pentagon in a statement said Sgt. Maj. James G. Sartor was supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.

The statement further added “Sgt. Maj. James G. Sartor, 40, of Teague, Texas, died July 13, 2019, in Faryab Province, Afghanistan, as a result of injuries sustained from enemy small arms fire during combat operations.”

Furthermore, Pentagon said the incident is under investigation.

Pentagon also added that Sartor was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Carson, Colorado.
