Cristiano Ronaldo has taken over Pele’s record as the leading goal scorer in the world of soccer.

In his recent play against Cagliari the Juventus star scored a hat-trick 3-1 shooting his goal score sky-high, he has gained 770 goals in his entire official career.

Pele the Brazilian legend had scored 757 goals in his professional career, but Ronaldo decided to add the 10 goal scores he achieved while play for the Sao Paulo state team and Brazilian military team.

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t interested to celebrate his achievement until after the game against Cagliari, he said he wanted to surpass even the unofficial tally before announcing his new goal records.

Juventus play in his Instagram account admired the Brazilian legend Pele, just like many soccer fans around the world.

Ronaldo also thanked every who supported and helped him in his journey towards the goals that he has scored so far.

Pele himself thanked Cristiano for his affection, he added “As you said, history will never be erased, but it is a pleasure to see you overcome my record of goals in official matches. Keep making me smile!”.
