
PARWAN – Parwan flood death jumped to at least 86 people and injured 106 further civilians, leaving local residents devastated at the time of crises since heavy rain showers flooded the city Wednesday, provincial head of the Public Health Safilullah Warasta told Khaama Press.
The figures mark preliminary reports, as officials in the city fear a drastic rise to the number of casualties, according to sources.
It came after the Afghan Defense Minister Asadullah Khalid visited the province Wednesday in a bid to monitor and control the affected areas.
“Afghan national army is not only for fighting, they stand with people in any situation” he said.
Khalid expressed his condolences to the victims’ family and those who are affected substantially, adding Afghan defense forces will stand by the people at all cost and circumstance.
