The Paktia Panthers cricket team defeated Balkh Legends during the 7th match of the Afghan Premier League, Gulbahar Afghan Premier League.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in a statement said Balkh Legends won the toss in last night’s match and chose to field first.

The Paktia Panthers started batting and set a target of 205 runs from 20 overs and by losing their 4 wickets.

On the bowling side, Balkh Legends bowler Gulbadin Naib took 2 wickets by giving 46 runs, Mirwais took 1 wicket against 41 runs, while Paktia Panthers one of their wickets due to the run out.

In response, the Balkh Legends team could not chase the given target and lost all their wickets during the 19th over of the game by scoring 167 runs only.

Udana took 4 wickets for Paktia panthers, Zia Ur Rehman 3 wickets, while Mirwais Ashraf and Yamin Ahmadzai took one wicket each to restrict the Balkh Legends batsmen.

Cameron Delport was elected as the player of the match for his outstanding batting performance. He had scored 70 runs for Paktia Panthers.
