Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Afghanistan resume office

Ubaid ur Rehman Nizamani, Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Afghanistan resumed office on Friday, the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul tweeted.

During his first meeting with the Embassy’s staff, he has emphasized that enhancing bilateral cooperations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Mr. Nizamani is said to be one of the experienced diplomats with over 20 years of diplomatic affairs experience and is appointed to work in Afghanistan during a critical era.

Mansoor Ahmad Khan, was the previous Ambassador of Pakistan to Afghanistan who was very much engaged during the peace negotiations, before the collapse of Afghanistan in the hands of Taliban on August 15, 2021.

Pakistan is the closest neighbor to Afghanistan that shares more land border territory with Afghanistan in the South, East and North Western parts.
