The Afghan security forces arrested three individuals including two Pakistanis for plotting a suicide attack in Kunar province.

The Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said the NDS Special Forces arrested the three individuals during a raid in Asadabad city.

The statement further added that Ahmad son of Ayoub Khan who is originally a resident of Dir district was planning to facilitate a suicide attack with his Afghan counter-part Sadam son of Habib.

Furthermore, the National Directorate of Security said the duo was accompanying Delawar son of Abdullah, originally a resident of Bajaur Agency, who was looking to carry out the suicide attack against a security official.

The National Directorate of Security also added that the security forces also confiscated a suicide bombing vest a pistol from the detained individuals.

Meanwhile, the National Directorate of Security said Qazi, one of the leaders of Taliban group had appointed the group to facilitate and conduct the suicide attack.
