The Afghan and U.S. forces conducted airstrikes in different parts of Ghazni province killing at least 16 Taliban militants including two Pakistani suicide bombers.

The Governor’s Office of Ghazni said in a statement that the Afghan and U.S. forces conducted the airstrikes in Khogyani, Khwaja Omari and Qarabagh districts.

The statement further added that the first airstrike killed 12 Taliban militants including two Pakistani suicide bombers in Deh Mullah Village of Khogyani district. The security forces conducted the raid on Saturday evening.

Furthermore, the Governor’s Office said the security forces carried out two airstrikes in Khwaja Omari and Qarabagh districts which killed 4 Taliban militants.

The Governor’s Office also added that the airstrikes did not inflict casualties on local residents.
