Pakistani lawyers on Wednesday, November 17 announced that they have ratified new strict rules against rapists that also include sterilization of the assailants by chemicals.

The new law also asked for the establishment of exclusive courts across the country for the trial of those who rape children and women.

As per the new law, the exclusive courts must expedite the process of trial and conclude the cases in a four-month span, names of rapists must be disclosed but the victims must be hidden, and anti-rape bodies must be established across Pakistan to conduct rape tests in a matter of hours.

The lawyers have also agreed that gang rapists must be given life prison or capital punishment and those who repeatedly rape people would be sterilized by chemicals.

It was initially said that Pakistan lawyers had suggested execution of rapists but was ruled out by PM Imran Khan and decided to ratify sterilization.

Pakistan has been witnessing huge demonstrations since September this year after a woman was gang-raped in front of her children.
