Pakistan on Thursday successfully tested a flight of a Ballistic missile in the Northern Arabian Sea.

The surface-to-surface ballistic missile, has the range of hitting a target 2,750 kilometers away, according to the Pakistan army statement.

The ballistic missile is named Shaheen III and its test was aimed at the re-validating various design of the rocket and the technical “parameters of the weapon” the statement read.

During the test, the Pakistani chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, Gen. Nadeem Raza attended the event and assessed the missile test.

Raza was accompanied by other senior military officials from Pakistani defense sectors.

President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, also congratulated the scientists and engineers on the “successful” missile test.

Pakistan Inter-Service Public Relation ISPR tweeted, that “Pakistan conducted successful flight test of Shaheen-3 surface 2 surface ballistic missile,having range of 2750 Kms. Flt test aimed at revalidating various design & tech parameters of weapon system. President, PM, CJCSC & Services Chiefs have congratulated scientists & engineers”.
