Afghan government expressed concerns regarding the deadline announced by Pakistan for the exit of illegal Afghan refugees from this country.

The government of Pakistan recently announced the new deadline for the Afghan refugees who do not have legal documents to leave Khyber Agency by 25 of May.

A spokesman for the ministry of refugee affairs of Afghanistan Islamuddin Jurat said the issue will create problems for the Afghan government of Pakistan deports the Afghan refugees.

Mr. Jurat also said they have not received a formal notification from the government of Pakistan yet however he urged the government of Pakistan to assist Afghan refugees based on International regulations.

In the meantime United Nations High Commission for Refugees said the issues of the Afghan refugees in Pakistan can be resolved by arranging legal documents for them.

UNHCR spokesman Nader Farhad said the Afghan government should facilitate the Afghan refugees by arranging Passport.

He also said the issues of the Afghan refugees in Iran was resolved after the embassy of Afghanistan in Iran issued passports and were later granted with visas by the Iranian government.
