Pakistan has sent a team of engineers and technical personnel to the Afghan capital Kabul, Nangarhar, and Logar provinces to get the construction process of hospitals completed and install machinery, Pakistan’s Dawn Newspaper reported.
The team is comprised of four engineers and technicians and is said to install medical equipment worth 2 million Pakistani rupees in these hospitals.
The report reads that installation of the machinery for completion of the construction of the hospitals is part of the five billion Pakistani rupees pledged by Pakistani PM for addressing Afghanistan’s humanitarian crisis.
The machinery is supposed to be installed in Jinnah hospital based in Kabul, in Nishtar hospital based in eastern Nangarhar province, and in Logari hospital based in Logar province.
The humanitarian package also comprises 5,000 metric tons of wheat of which the first shipment-18,000 tons- arrived in Afghanistan last week.
