Pakistan PM inaugurates new embassy complex in Kabul

Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf during his visit to Afghanista on Thursday inaugurated the new building of Pakistan embassy in Kabul, naming it as Quaid-e-Azam Complex.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf also met with the Afghan President Hamid Karzai and discussed security, economic and political affairs, in a bid to further strengthen their bilateral ties.

A number of high level Pakistan government officials including Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik and Minister of State for Commerce Abbas Ahmed Afridi also attended the meeting along with the Security Adviser Spanta, Foreign Minister Dr Zalmay Rassoul, Minister of Interior Bismullah Muhammadi Khan, Minister of Education Faruq Wardak, Minister of Finance Omar Zakhilwal from the Afghanistan side.

The two leaders met here at the Presidential Palace and were supported by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik and Minister of State for Commerce Abbas Ahmed Afridi.

The prime minister is visiting Afghanistan on the invitation of Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Chairman High Peace Council Salahuddin Rabbani and leaders of Afghan National Front and Justice Party.

  1. Surprise , surprise . what happened to Pakistan to wake up suddenly and to send its PM to Kabul to see Karzai to talk about build a new embassy in Kabul calling it  ” Quaid -Azam ” .
    Kazai has to be careful with such a visit and study carefully the small prints in the agenda what is in it , he has sign many agreements with Pakistan before without any follow up or substance .
