Musharraf arrest warrantIslamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered the arrest of former president Gen. Pervez Musharraf after dismissing his interim bail extension please, Pakistan’s Geo News reported.

Immediately after the bail cancellation, police tried to reach the former military ruler but he was escorted by his personal security, fleeing in his bullet-proof black four-wheeler.

General Musharraf and his lawyers have been in and out of court numerous times to get his bail extended over the 2007 killing of former PM, the death of a rebel leader from Baluchistan in 2006 and for arresting judges in 2007.

Pakistan’s former military ruler returned home last month from four years of self-imposed exile. His return to Pakistan has been overshadowed by Taliban death threats, the slew of legal cases and a miserable show of support.

The former president managed to escape with his private security guards from the court. Massive security accompanied former leader Pervez Musharraf as he appeared in court.
