Over 700 Taliban militants attack check posts in Logar province

Taliban attack LogarAccording to local authorities in central Logar province of Afghanistan, at least 5 Taliban militants were killed following clashes with the security forces in this province.

The officials further added nearly 750 Taliban militants launched coordinated attacks on security check posts in Azra district early Sunday morning.

Provincial security chief, Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, said clashes sparked around 2:00 am local time after Talban militants launched attacks on security check posts.

Ishaqzai further added that clashes continued until 7:00 am local time which left at least five Taliban militants dead and an Afghan policeman injured.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the incident so far.

Taliban militants have recently increased their insurgency attacks across the country and launched coordinated attacks on security check posts.

Similar attacks have been carried out in Helmand, Nangarhar and northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.

Afghan national security forces repelled a similar attack in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan after a group of nearly 400 local and foreign militants launched coordinated attacks on security check posts in Ghaziabad district on Friday morning.

  1. why dont Afghan NDS bomb the pak military posts firing thousands of rockets in Kunar and killing civilians…they believe that TTP is in Kunar so they are firing rockets to act as covering fire and send in their agents to try to track the TTP people and eliminate them…make strategies fast to tackle this issue otherwise it will be too late and Taliban will conquer Kunar
