Afghan-Air-Force2At least 234 militants were killed or wounded in the latest raids of the Afghan National Security Forces in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 110 militants were killed, 124 militants were wounded and 13 others were arrested during the operations.

A statement by MoD said at least 4 foreign insurgents, a militants commander and a shadow district governor were among those killed or wounded.

The statement further added that 21 militants including a commander of the group identified as Qari Noorullah were killed with 4 foreigners in Aqcha district of Jawzjan province and 33 others including the group’s district shadow governor Qari Hafizullah were wounded.

At least 23 others were killed and 40 more were wounded during a separate operation in Sarkano and Marwara districts fo Kunar province, the statement said.

MoD also added that 9 miliants were killed and 8 others were wounded in joint operations in Baghlan Markazi and Dand-e-Ghori of Baghlan province.

The Afghan forces killed 14 militants and wounded 10 others in Qads district of Badghis province, MoD said, adding that 13 others were killed and 3 more were wounded in Baharak district of Badakhshan.

At least 27 militants were killed in separte operations conducted in Ghazni, Paktika, Maidan WArdka, Kandahar, Zabul, Sar-e-Pul and Helmand provinces, MoD said.

The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
