Abdullah says Osmani is one of the successful and active ministers of the government and the majority of the projects in the Ministry of Energy and Water have been inaugurated or due to be inaugurated under the management of Mr. Osmani.
He says Osmani will remain as the Minister of Energy and Water and the issue will be resolved in line with the agreement for the formation of the unit government.
The Office of the President in a statement confirmed that President Ghani has issued a decree confirming the dismissal of Osmani as the Minister of Energy and Water.
The statement further added that Deputy Energy and Water Minister has been appointed as the acting Minister of Energy and Water.
According to the Office of the President, Engineer Mohammad Gul Khulmi will take charge of the ministry until a new minister-designate has been introduced to the Lower Houe of the Parliament, Wolesi jirga, for confidence voting.
