Afghanistan: The Afghan Cricket Team is all set to play a one-off test match against Australia in coming December, marking the team’s first test match with Australia.

“Afghanistan is all set to play their first-ever test against Australia from December 7 to 11 in Perth”, Nazir Zam Cricket board’s interim Chief executive said to the press.

Nazir said he is sure the one-off day match will be played on bright day.

Afghanistan never has played Day/Night; and that the board requested Australian team for a normal match.

The international council had remodeled the playing conditions for test matches in October 2012, permitting the Day-Night test matches.

Afghanistan will hold a practice match in their UAE base camp before the lone Test and ahead of Australia tour.

The matches were meant to be played on November 21 to25, but due to the Covid-19, matches were delayed.

Hitherto, Afghans have played four matches, wining 2 and losing 2.  

IPL is scheduled to be played between September 19 and November 10 in UAE.
