PARWAN, Afghanistan – Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) arrested a gang of five members during a search operation in central province of Parwan, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement Tuesday.

According to the statement, the suspects are accused of armed robbery and money extortion, who are busted in Barik Aab area of Bagram district  of the province.

“A gang of five armed robbers have been arrested during a joint operation of the ANDSF in Barik Aab area, Bagram district of Parwan,” said the MoIA in a tweet.

In the brief statement, officials said the “ANDSF seized three assault rifles from the detainees.”
