The officials have confirmed that 34 people were killed in yesterday’s deadly attack in attack targeting an educational center in Kabul city.

This comes as the public health officials had earlier said at least 48 people have been killed in the attack in the West of Kabul city.

However, the government sources have confirmed to Associated Press that the final death toll stands at at least 34 people

The sources further added that the attack hast left at least 56 people wounded, rejecting the previous toll of 67.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISIS-K) has claimed responsibility behind the deadly attack.

The group’s Amaq news agency claimed the responsibility by issuing short statement on Thursday.

Without disclosing further proofs, the group claimed that a suicide bomber belonging to the group carried out an attack in Shi’ite area o Kabul city.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening in the West of Kabul city in Dasht Barchi area after a suicide bomber targeted an education center.
