First Vice President Amrullah Saleh and Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah condemned the Kabul University Attack, which wounded a dozen students on Sunday.
Saleh said in a tweet hours after the attack, we will fix the “intelligence failure. But the Taliban and their like-minded satanic allies next door won’t ever be able to wash their conscience of this stinking & nonjustifiable attack.”
Abdullah Abdullah called the attack “a heinous crime”, adding that “students have the right to study in peace & security.”
Meanwhile, President’s spokesman Sediq Seddiqi tweeted, “Today, we strongly condemn the terrorist attack on Kabul University.”
“We have full confidence in the powerful efforts of our security forces to eliminate the terrorists as soon as possible,” he added. “After the disgraceful defeat of terrorists in Helmand, now; These groups are fragmented and are targeting Afghan Academic Venues.”
NATO Senior Civilian Representative Stefano Pontecorvo condemns the Kabul University attack and says this is the second attack on educational institutions in Kabul within 10 days and that “Afghan children and youth need to feel safe going to school.”
These condemnations come as Kabul University is under unknown militants attack.
Reports indicated so far eight people have been confirmed wounded in different hospitals, the clashes are reportedly continuing.
