No permission granted to Afghan/NATO forces for night raids: ARG

Afghanistan night raidsThe ARG Presidential Palace has rejected reports suggesting that the Afghan and NATO-led coalition forces have been granted permission to cconductnight raids against the suspected militants.

The Palace following a statement said such reports are baseless which suggests that the Afghan and coalition forces have been granted permission to carry out night raids.

The statement further added that the government of Afghanistan has not given such instructions for night raids.

According to the ARG Palace, President Ghani has instructed the national security council to prepare a strategy for the operations to be conducted by Afghan national security forces which should consider the laws of the country, culture and Islamic values.

The statement also added that President Ghani will instruct for the implementation of the strategy once he fully reviews the procedures which should ensure that the ordinary civilians and Afghan forces are not harmed.

The strategy for the operations has not been completed so far, the statement said.

  1. This is suicidal move and will bring Taliban to power again…if they come this time they will never be defeated again like in 2001,they have learnt their lessons and will behave differently this time
