The Kabul Police confirmed that a bomb went off in the vicinity of Qambar Square in the 5th Police District of Kabul city earlier tonight.
According to a statement released by Kabul Police Headquarters, the incident took place at around 8:20 pm local time.
The statement further added that the explosion did not cause casualties or damages to the properties.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
This comes as a group of insurgents launched a coordinated attack on a U.S. aid group’s office in Kabul city on Wednesday leaving at least 9 people dead and 20 others wounded.
The Taliban militants group had claimed responsibility for the attack.
