NIMRUZ, Afghanistan – At least five Afghan Security Forces killed, and further two wounded, after their vehicle  hit through a roadside mine in Kang district of Nimruz province, local authorities confirmed Tuesday.

Bahram Haqmal, head of provincial Governor’s press office, said the incident occurred at around 11:50 a.m. in central Kang district of the province.

The blast claimed at least five Afghan forces and injured further two, he added.

No group or individual has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
