NEA Announces Result of Entrance Exam

KABUL, Afghanistan – The National Examination Authority (NEA) at a press conference Thursday morning announced the result of entrance (also Kankor) exam throughout the country.  

Shamsiya Mohammad Nasim of Asif Mayel High School in Kabul topped the exam with 355.182 points, Nematullah Mahfoozullah of Hakim Naser High School reserved second place with 353.133 points and Mohammad Mojtaba Khadem Hussain from Dogh Abad of Kabul City on third place accordingly.

Abdul Qadir Khamoosh, Head of NEA, said at least 200,000 students attended the entrance exam in six different periods throughout the country.

According to Khamoosh, around 98% of the candidates for the exam passed, entering either higher of semi-higher education this year, leaving about 2,000 to 3,000 students for another attempt next year.

Meanwhile, Abbas Basir, Acting Minister for the Ministry of Higher Education, indicated the 1399 (2020) entrance exam satisfying, adding the exams were all carried with full transparency.

At last 20 scholarships are planned to grand the overall top 20, and 102 further scholarships are planned to grand top 3 in each provinces.
