An officer from National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency – has been killed by unknown gunmen in western Farah province.
Jawad Afghan, spokesman for the governor of Farah province says that the NDS officer for Poshtroad District was killed in his resident last night.
Governor’s spokesman said that unknown gunmen went to Mohammad Hashim Khan’s house in Farah city and run away from the area after the killing.
He said that an investigation has been initiated to arrest the perpetrators.
This is 2nd NDS officer being killed in three days. Another NDS officer was killed by unknown gunmen in southern Kandahar province on Thursday.
