NATO-led International coalition Security force officials on Tuesday announced, a NATO service member was killed following insurgents attack in southern Afghanistan.

International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan following a press release on Tuesday confirmed the incident.

The source did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident and nationality of the deceased soldier.

International Security Assistance Force generally does not disclose the identity of the casualties, saying “It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”

At least 33 Coalition security forces including 25 US troops, 3 British troops and 5 others have been killed in various incidents across the country since the beginning of 2012.
