drone crash in Kandahar provinceAccording to reports a coalition security forces drone has crashed in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan.

Provincial governor spokesman Jawid Faisal confirming the report said a coalition security forces drone crashed in Maruf district due to technical problems.

In the meantime Taliban group claim that the drone was shot down by Taliban fighters, however local officials deny the Taliban claims.

Local officials in Kandahar province also said at least eight improvised explosive device (IED) planters were killed by International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in this province.

Jawid Faisal said the suspected mine planters were killed in Shahwalikot district while they were planting roadside bombs.

Taliban militants group yet to comment regarding the report.
