NATO airstrike kill Afghan militantsAt least seven militants were killed following a NATO airstrike in eastern Paktika province of Afghanistan on Monday.

According to local government officials, the militants were killed in Sar-e-Rawza district after Afghan security forces called for a NATO airstrike in response to militants attack.

Sar-e-Rawza district chief, Raz Mohammad Mukhlis confirming the report said that a group of insurgents attacked the district compound late Monday.

Mr. Mukhlis further added that the Afghan security forces managed to repel the militants attack, but called for NATO airstrike which left at least seven suspected militants dead.

Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the incident.
