NATO-led International Security Assistance Force officials following a press release on Tuesday announced, an International Security Assistance Force aircraft made a precautionary landing in southern Afghanistan today.

The source further added, initial reports indicate the cause of the incident was a mechanical malfunction and there were no reported casualties. The statement did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of incident.

ISAF is still in the process of assessing the circumstances to determine more facts, however, initial reporting indicates that there was no enemy activity in the area.

This comes as another NATO helicopter performed an emergency landing last Sunday in southern Afghanistan.
