NASA: No Universal Blackout in December 2012

By Khushnood Nabizada - Sat Dec 01 2012, 11:50 am

NASA deny reports regarding a universal blackout which has been predicted during 23-25 Dec 2012 due to Earth Alignment.

This comes as unconfirmed reports quoting US scientists predicted Universe change, total blackout of planet for 3 days from Dec 23 2012.

The report also added that it is not the end of the world, it is an alignment of the Universe, where the Sun and the earth will align for the first time. The earth will shift from the current third dimension to zero dimension, then shift to the forth dimension. During this transition, the entire Universe will face a big change, and we will see a entire brand new world.

However NASA has said, “Neither NASA nor any other scientific organization is predicting such a blackout. The false reports on this issue claim that some sort of “alignment of the Universe” will cause a blackout. There is no such alignment (see next question). Some versions of this rumor cite an emergency preparedness message from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. This is simply a message encouraging people to be prepared for emergencies, recorded as part of a wider government preparedness campaign. It never mentions a blackout.”

The officials further added, “There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. One major alignment occurred in 1962, for example, and two others happened during 1982 and 2000. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence.”

The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatological beliefs according to which cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on 21 December 2012. This date is regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. Various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae have been proposed as pertaining to this date, though none have been accepted by mainstream scholarship.

The phenomenon was followed after Mayan archaeologists met in Guatemala and confirmed the end date for the Mayan Prophecy is December 21, 2012.  That’s when the world will end.

Archaeologists reviewed a newly discovered 1,300 year-old Maya text that provides only the second reference to the “end date” of the Maya calendar on December 21, 2012.  The discovery, one of the most significant hieroglyphic find in decades, was announced at the National Palace in Guatemala.

The Mayan phenomena was refused by various scientists and Astrobiology Institutes since Maya calendar doesn’t end in 2012, as some have said, and the ancients never viewed this year as the time of the end of the world.

    1. Please go back to school and learn how to spell properly. Thanks.

    2. Hey Samantha Govender learn English you hillbilly. Your comment would be taken more seriously if you knew how to spell.

    3. Kids these days, for the love of your “GOD” write properly. Your opinion on this matter becomes so irrelevant the moment you start writing like that.

I got just one question for you

What gives you the right to called them Liars?
If i am not wrong, believing in God has never been about judging. Study your religion before you make fool of your self.

    4. Can you learn to type in English please? I’m having difficulty trying to read that nonsense you spouted there.

    5. And you’re right

    6. tell your god to learn you how to write english next time you talk to him…

    7. God god god. God does not exist, God was invented as a symbol of hope and explanation when science was not understood; the reason for more deaths than anything else ever, religion; now that science explains how everything works we have no need for god.

    8. Say what??

    9. Ohh come on… Don’t drag God on your petty reasoning…
What do you expect?? God will come down from heaven and tell us the world’s going to end?
what do you think of God? some kind of messenger that will tell you “hey dude! your times up. the world’s gonna get destroyed so say your prayers” something like that shit?
at least straighten up your English cuz it’s got a greater chance to destroy the world than your version of the world’s end…

  2. this is aloas of crap tbh there were no leap years in the maya calender so if the end of the world was going to happen it should of happened already!

  3. Everyone has to die one day. So why thinking too much? Do good work, live in peace. Travel the world, view the green. See !!! thats why Allah did not revealed the future. Because it creates mess.

    1. I Agree with u ^_^)

  4. The world should of ended 7 months ago because of leap years so the maya “prophecy” is wrong.
P.s Samantha govender, the next time you post a comment it would be good if you spoke english.

  5. Samantha Govender, stop making fun of people who believe in God.

Presenting yourself as someone who believes in God and then act like a complete retard on purpose is NOT okay.
Respect eachother. Live and let live.

  6. lol, will I laugh or will I laugh when Dec.21 turns to Dec.22 and nothing happens!  Can’t wit to see what kind of retarded rhetoric these nutjobs will use to explain why the world didn’t end.

  7. i agreed. really want to see what will come out from all the brilliant scientist when nothing’s happen later. Is that means all the study, knowledge they have is good for nothing?

  8. I still believe that God still has the whole world in His hands. There is nothing to worry about 🙂

  9. I am from the futur to tell you that the world WON’T END!

  10. Joe Higgs. GOD exists. That’s why this world exists. Please don’t say that GOD was invented for blah blah blah.(too lazy to copy paste) Let’s say that this world was created from a dot. Like the Big Bang theory. Then where did the dot come from? Kay, let’s say that that dot come from a smaller dot. Then, where did that smaller dot come from? Still, science couldn’t explain it. Since there’s no way to explain it with science. Only the creator can explain it.

  11. to [ xxx ].
What you said is correct but you are forgeting something. What if you think of it that God made the big bang? Those that read the bibble think that the world is made by Adan and Eve, but that is just one way of wiewing it. If you apply common sense to it, the bibble is a guide of “how it went” for anyone. Adan and Eve could be explained by science, but we just don’t get into it to explain, as them same goes with everything in this world. Science is the word for what we ‘discover’ while living our short life. But God is still the one that made everything. There can’t be science without god, those that think like that, they are just closed minded people that watch things go on without opening their eyes.

    1. There can’t be science without god.
Those that think that science has nothing to do with god, they are just closed minded people that watch things go on without opening their eyes. Being open minded is better.

      *little correction*

  12. Aristocrat, you need to re-read the first little bit of a Bible. First off it is Adam and Eve, secondly no one believes they created the world. As for the science proving everything made by Mr. Higgs. I would beg of you to remember that our best dating systems can’t seem to go back past thousands of years. Let alone touch the million of years science requires to explained. Evolution. Lastly In case a any one individual has forgotten there are two things subtly wrong within the big bang theory. One nothing in the physical Universe is capable of creating matter from nothing, and two basic elementary science here but last time anyone checked explosions have never created anything only destroyed. Unless you can carving features in already “preexisting” matter. All man has is speculation on both hands as anyone who has felt the presence of God is long dead and no man has come up with a solution to our scientific dating problems.

  13. Yes, I do know there are grammatical mistakes in my comment. Every man and woman makes them.

  14. How ’bout this : a) the calander stopped because they ran out of room or b) the Mayan people just decided how about we make a knew calander then
