Security officials in Nangarhar says at least two civilians were killed in an IED explosion in Nangarhar province.
Attaullah Khogyani, Nangarhar spokesman told the media that the incident happened at around 6:00 am on Wednesday morning in Jalalabad city.
According to Khogyani, at least two civilians are dead and 18 others including three policemen are wounded in the blast.
Nangarhar is located in the east of the country and is one of the most insecure provinces in the country, where the Taliban, Daesh, and other extremist groups are active in many parts of the region.
This comes as unknown gunmen shod dead, Mohammad Ismail Sahak, the head of the administrative office of the National Statistic and Information Authority in the Qala-e-Wazir area of Paghman district of Kabul province.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning.
Security officials have not yet confirmed the incident.
