The security forces killed or wounded at least 12 Taliban militants including Mullah Rahmat, one of the local commanders of the group in Farah.

The Police Headquarters of Farah said in a statement that the Afghan Air Force conducted airstrikes in Posht Koh district of Farah which killed 6 Taliban militants.

The statement further added that the airstrikes also wounded 3 Taliban militants.

Furthermore, the security repulsed a Taliban attack in Shiwan Village of Posht Koh district killing Taliban commander Mullah Rahmat and his two comrades.

The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
