Mosque burned in Faryab

holy bookTaliban militants have burned a house and several houses in northern Faryab province.

Abdul Nabi Ilham, provincial police chief of Faryab says that the incident took place in Shireen Tagab District on Tuesday night.

He said a group of Taliban insurgents attacked Arpato village on the allegation that the residents of the village were cooperating with government.

He said that Taliban burned a mosque and several houses during the attack.

Ilhamd added that several copies of the holy Quran and other religious books were also burned in the fire.

This is not the only time mosque is harmed and copies of the holy Quran burned in Taliban attack.

On several occasions mosques have been harmed and copies of the holy Quran burned in Taliban attacks on mosques.
