The Afghan National Police Forces have arrested more than 30 irresponsible armed individuals during separate operations in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement later this afternoon that 13 irresponsible armed individuals were arrested during the operations conducted in Chawk-e-Ferdawsi and Chawk-e-Kefayat areas of Mazar-e-Sharif city, the provincial capital of Balkh province.

The statement further added that the police forces also confiscated 13 weapons, 51 magazines filled with munitions, a pistol, 2 radios, and some other military kits.

This comes as the Afghan National Police Forces had arrested 21 irresponsible armed individuals during similar operations which were conducted in this province a day earlier.

The Ministry of Interior also added in its statement that the ministry is committed to introduce all irresponsible armed individuals to the judiciary institutions after this.
