The Afghan forces killed more than 50 Taliban militants during a clash in the outskirts of Kunduz city, the provincial capital of Kunduz province.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Taliban militants launched a coordinated attack on Kunduz city late on Monday night.

Accoring to MoD, the Afghan forces effectively responded to the attack with the support of the Air Forces, killing more than 50 Taliban militants and wounding more than 60 others.

The defense ministry also added that additional special forces have been deployed to Kunduz city to better control the situation in the city.

The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
