Ministry of Industry and Trade bans production and use of laundry Vaseline in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has warned citizens against using laundry Vaseline, as according to the ministry, its use leads to “various skin diseases, allergies, and other chronic conditions.

It said on Monday, April 8th, the ministry cautioned manufacturers of laundry Vaseline to refrain from its production, stating that legal action would be taken otherwise.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade continues to caution citizens against using this detergent due to its adverse effects on the skin.

According to the ministry, the use of laundry Vaseline results in various skin diseases, allergies, and other chronic conditions.

Laundry Vaseline is one of the detergents that has been increasingly used for washing clothes and carpets alongside powder and soap in recent years.

People mostly use this detergent for washing black-coloured clothes and believe that after washing, it does not leave white marks on the fabric.
