Militants hailing from Uzbekistan among 29 killed, wounded in Faryab operations

The security forces killed or wounded at least 29 Taliban militants including two foreign nationals in northern Faryab province.

The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement that the Special Forces and other security personnel from the other institutions conducted raids in Pashtun Kot and Shergin Taga districts of Faryab.

The statement further added that the security forces killed 17 Taliban militants including two militants hailing from Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the security forces also wounded 12 Taliban militants during the operations.

The 209th Shaheen Corps also added that the security forces also destroyed weapons, munitions and explosives belonging to militants.
