Militants behead Afghan journalist in Paktika province

According to local authorities in eastern Afghanistan, unknown armed militants beheaded an Afghan journalist in eastern Paktika province.

The officials further added, the Afghan journalist working in a local Radio station was beheaded by unknown gunmen in Orgon district of eastern Paktika province.

Provincial Security Chief for eastern Paktika province Gen. Dawlat Khan Zadran confirming the report said, the dead body of the Afghan journalist was found this morning.

The journalist used to work in a local Radio Station “Mehman” and was kidnapped by unknown gunmen last night.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

This comes as Taliban militants beheaded at least four Afghan civilians in espionage charges at southern Helmand province.

The incident took place in Washir district of southern Helmand province.
