After being canceled in 2020, the Ballon d’Or is back, all the best players are eyeing the biggest individual honor the game has to offer.

The 2021 Ballon d’Or ceremony is an upcoming event on 29 of November presented by France Football, to recognize the best footballers in the world for 2021.

The shortlist has now been announced. The list includes 30 players around the world including 2019 winner Lionel Messi. The winner will be announced on Monday, 29 November in Paris.

Lionel Messi (PSG), Roberto Lewandowsky (Bayer Munich), Jorginho (Chelsea), N’golo Kante (Chelsea), and Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) are the most favorite to win.

This year´s Ballon d’Or is one of the most difficult to predict in recent years. The ever-brilliant Lionel Messi finally won the Copa America with Argentina, Chelsea’s Jorginho took the Champions League and Euro 2020 trophies, while Robert Lewandowski has continued to score for fun with Bayern Munich.

As it stands, the Argentinian star is the favorite to get his hands to his 7th Ballon d’Or for he has won Cops Del Ray, Copa America, and 52 goals and 28 assist with Barca, PSG, and the national team.
