Mass shooting at a gay nightclub in U.S leaves 5 dead, 18 wounded

In a mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Spring, Colorado at least 5 LGBT members were killed and 18 others were wounded, police said on Sunday.

According to the reports by the U.S media outlets, a 22-year-old armed man entered a gay nightclub after mid-night on Saturday and opened fire that killed an injured at least 23 members.

The suspect was arrested and disarmed by the patrons before the police arrived.

According to Colorado Spring Police, the suspect was identified as Anderson Lee Aldich who used a long rifle in shooting.

Officials have reported that of the 18 people injured, several of them are in critical health condition.

The motive behind this deadly mass shooting is so far unclear.

This comes as that in 2016, a mass shooting in Orlando of Florida left 49 LGBT members dead.
