At least eight people have been reported killed and close to 60 people are injured in an Explosion in Herat province.

The blast occurred near a police outpost in PD14 capital of Herat on Friday evening, Waheed Qatali, provincial governor told media.

Seven of the killed in the explosion are civilians, and more than a dozen houses were damaged in the explosion which happened near a residential place.

Women, children, and civilians are most of the blast’s victims, according to reports.

No group or individual have claimed responsibility for the attack.

However, Tariq Arian, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior blamed the Taliban for the attack.

Despite peace efforts, for the sake of self-interest humans across Afghanistan are killed on daily basis.
