According to officials, the child was abused in the Togh Lalma area in the Jurisdiction of Mohammad Raiz police station.

Samiullah’s father, Zulfiqar, told the police that his son came home crying and screaming that a man he could identify had taken him to the fields and abused him.

“The victim and the accused were taken to the KDA Teaching Hospital for medical examination, and the tests confirmed the child was assaulted,” DSP Yousuf Jan said, Dawn reported.

After the assault was confirmed, the accused was charged under the Child Protection Act, which strives to protect children’s rights and well-being. The police are devoted to seeking justice in this situation and bringing the offender to justice.

Since the Taliban took over in 2021, tens of thousands of Afghans have fled to Pakistan, joining the several million Afghan refugees and migrants living there for decades.

Meanwhile, Afghan citizens complain that hundreds have been unlawfully arrested. The mass arrests have fueled fears that Pakistan is waging a new crackdown against the millions of Afghan refugees.

According to Islamabad, 250,000 Afghans have entered Pakistan since January 2021, the majority of them arriving when the Taliban took control in August. Most of them are professionals with college degrees who want to relocate abroad.
