The security forces arrested two militants who were planting magnetic improvised explosive devices (bombs) in Kote Sangi area of Kabul city.

The Kabul Police Headquarters in a statement said the security forces arrested the two mine planters with the support of Kote Sangi resdients.

The statement further added that the two mine planters were arrested as they were attempting to plant a magnetic bomb in a vehicle of the Ministry of Defense.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented in this regard so far.

Taliban militants and other insurgent and terrorist groups often use improvised explosive devices, particularly magnetic bombs as the weapon of their choice to target the security personnel and government officials.
