London police have announced the discovery of a body similar to that of Abdul Shakoor Izedi, the suspect in a chemical attack on a woman and her two daughters in the River Thames.

John Saul, the senior investigating officer in the case, revealed the finding of this body on Tuesday, February 20th.

According to officials, it has been determined that the body belongs to an Afghan asylum seeker based on the clothing and belongings found on the body.

Previously, London police had claimed that Izedi had likely drowned and died at sea.

Abdul Shakoor Izedi, an Afghan asylum seeker, attacked a woman and her two young daughters with a corrosive substance about a month ago in the Clapham area of South London.

Authorities in the country stated that Izedi had a relationship with the 31-year-old woman and had attempted to see her before the attack.

Meanwhile, London police had set a reward of £20,000 for information leading to the arrest of this Afghan asylum seeker.

Izedi was an Afghan citizen and had entered Britain in 2016, having been previously convicted in a sexual assault case.
