Speaking during a press conference, Barmak said the security forces face resistance from at least two to three militants.
Barmak further added that the attack in Shar Naw was carried out by a group of at least five militants and operations are underway by the Special Forces to eliminate the remaining assailants.
According to Barmak, at least two policemen have lost their lives in the attack so far and at least two others have sustained injuries.
In regards to the attack in Police District#13 in Dasht Barchi area, Barmak said the attack has ended and all assailants were shot dead.
He said at least two attackers were involved in the attack in Police District#13 who had taken position inside a building and at least two policemen have lost their lives in the attack.
The interior minister promised that a thorough investigation will be launched regarding the deadly attacks in Kabul city today as he admitted that militants are carrying out attacks with different tactics as compared to previous years.
