Monday, June 06 – Hakim Naser Khusraw Balkhi Cultural Center under the leadership of Afghan leader Syed Mansoor Naderi on Monday following an exhibition, put the world’s largest handmade Holy Quran on a preliminary display.

A number of High level government authorities including Abdul Salam Azimi Chief Justice of Afghanistan and the head of the Afghan Supreme Court, Dr. Syed Makhdoom Raheen, minister of information and culture and Muhammad Yousuf Niazi minister of Hajj and religious affairs and some members from Afghan national assembly attended this exhibition.

Abdul Salam Azimi, Chief Justice of Afghanistan and the head of the Afghan Supreme Court during his visit to exhibition described the initiative taken by Hakim Nasir Khusraw Balkhi Cultural Center as a historical masterwork for the history of Islam and expressed his wishes for the inauguration of the masterwork by Afghan president and authorities.

Meanwhile, Dr. Syed Makhdoom Raheen Afghanistan’s minister of Information and culture described the initiative a pride for the whole nation of Afghanistan specifically for the Hakim Nasir Khusraw Balkhi Cultural Center and the Afghan leader Syed Mansoor Naderi.

Sabir Yaqoob Hussaini, a 52 year old Afghan who has an experience of 27 years in calligraphy and arts has developed the artwork of this book in 5 years with a team of 10 people of his students. The book has a length of 230 cm and width of 150cm and over 130kg weight.

“This is the biggest project I have completed so for.”, Sabir Hussaini Said.

The exhibition of masterwork of Holy Quran will shortly be inaugurated for public display.
