A kidnap king and his seven men have been arrested during the operation of the Afghan Intelligence operatives in Kabul city.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said the kidnap kingpin Obaidullah alis Raees Obaid son of Hamidullah was arrested from the vicinity of the 10th police district of the city.

The statement further added that the other individuals arrested during the operation have been identified as Zaid son of Abdul Hadi, Muzamil son of Bashir Ahmad, Jawad son of Sardaar, Nik Mohammad son of Mohammad, Ahmad Fawad son of Dawlat Ali, Abdul Bakar son of Shafiqulah, and Shams-ul-Haq.

According to the National Directorate of Security, Shams-ul-Haq was involved in kidnapping, murder, armed robberies, and extortions under the leadership of Raees Obaid.

The Afghan intelligence operatives also confiscated two pistols, a radio, military uniform, vehicle registration plate, and hundreds of rounds munitions, the National Directorate of Security added in its statement.
