The U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived to Islamabad in an unannounced visit to meet with the Pakistani officials, and discuss fight against terrorism and Afghanistan war besides holding talks to ease tension over U.S. drone strikes.
John Kerry arrived to Islamabad in a surprise visit on Wednesday evening and he is expected to hold talks with the key civilian and military leaders, including newly elected prime minister of Pakistan Jawaz Sharif on Thursday.
Kerry will hold talks over Afghan peace process and seek Pakistani officials cooperation to help bring the Afghan Taliban to negotiation Table.
He will also work with the Pakistani officials to soothe Islamabad’s opposition to covert CIA drone strikes in Pakistan.
