According to reports Afghan president Hamid Karzai dismissed Afghan intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief Rahmatullah Nabeel from his position.

Afghan president Hamid Karzai quoted by an Afghan parliament member said, he was not willing to allow Rahmatullah Nabeel to continue to his duty as the Afghan NDS chief for more than two years.

Afghan lawmaker speaking on the condition of anonymity said president Karzai is due to introduce Asadullah Khalid as the new NDS chief along with the nominees for Afghan defense and interior ministries to Afghan parliament on Wednesday.

The source further added dismissed Afghan interior minister Bismillah Mohammadi and Mojtaba Patang have been nominated as interior and defense ministers.

Bismillah Mohammadi former Afghan interior minister and currently working as the acting head of the interior ministry was dismissed by Afghan parliament along with the Afghan defense minister Abdul Rahim Wardak.

The two ministers were dismissed after they were summoned by Afghan parliament over cross border incursion from Pakistan in eastern regions of the country.

Rahmatullah Nabeel was introduced as the acting head of National Directorate of Security to the Afghan parliament after former NDS chief Amrullah Saleh and former interior minister Hanif Atmat resigned from their positions.
