KarzaiAfghan president Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the airstrike by coalition security forces on a residential house in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, the presidential said in a statement.

Local government officials in Helmand province quoted in the presidential palace statement said a child was killed and two women were injured following a drone strike by coalition forces on Thursday morning.

The officials further added that the incident took place in Garmser district after a drone targeted a residential house in Faqiran village.

President Karzai said the airstrike takes place shortly after the consultative Loya Jirga approved the bilateral security agreement between Afghanistan and United States.

Karzai also said that the latest attack shows that US forces do not respect and care for lives and security of the Afghan people and gives no value to the decisions of the consultative Loya Jirga.

Karzai also reiterated that the security agreement will not be signed unless coalition security forces immediately stop raids on Afghan homes.
